Student Field Trips
As per John Glenn’s wishes, the museum is primarily an educational facility. We host many school groups, especially 3rd & 4th graders when they study Ohio history. We strive to provide an enjoyable learning experience that aligns with those educational standards.
National Road History Day
Many school groups participate in our “National Road History Day” which includes a tour of both the John & Annie Glenn Museum and the National Road & Zane Grey Museum, just 5 miles west. While traveling between the two you can follow our 5-mile driving tour which highlights several attractions along the National Road including an “S” Bridge, a Mail Pouch Barn, and a section of original brick road.
Christmas at the House
During the holiday season we offer “Christmas at the House” for groups of younger students. Following a brief orientation in our classroom and tour of the main floor of the Glenn Home, the students take a seat on the living room floor around the old-fashioned Christmas tree where they listen to the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which was written in 1939. They then return to the classroom where they make a Rudolph ornament to take home for their own tree as a momento of this special program.
Group Tours
Groups of 10 or more will be admitted for the discounted rate of $6 each and groups which visit both museums receive are admitted for $10 each. Complimentary tickets are given to the driver and tour leader.
